Minerva is a top quality ASH type of mare retained by the stud. She has a lovely disposition and is calm and sensible in most situations. She has a very good stop on her and is athletic in working ASH classes. She has been admired by many and is very close to the ideal type we wish to breed at Chalani.|
Minerva is a Royal Show Champion, winning Champion Led ASH mare at the 2013 Adelaide Royal Autumn Breeds show. She was a winner at the Sep 2014 Melbourne Royal Show in the Hack Mare over 15hh class and also the winner of the Time Trial. She also achieved placings in ASHLA, Working ASH mare and Station Horse.
She is a National ASH winner as a three year old, having competed at the 2012 ASH National Show in Tamworth, NSW. She was 4th Led filly 3 years, 3rd Pleasure Hack, 1st Hack English attire 4 years and under, 5th Hack filly 3 years, =5th Novice Hack 4 years and under, =3rd Novice Working 4 years and under and 5th Working filly 3 years.
Minerva was a winner at her first ever campdraft, the Encourage draft at Keith Campdraft, Oct 2014. She had only seen (and worked) cattle once before this event. She displays a natural ability to 'rate' cattle. She made maiden and novice finals at several campdrafts.
Minerva has achieved many Champions and wins in led classes and under saddle in hack and working sections in the ASH ring (SA and Victoria). She is also a Champion Hack winner at the Morphett Vale Show Hack Council show in Aug 2014.
At the 2012 SA State ASH Futurity Show, Minerva won the 3yo Futurity, including winning each section (led, hack, working).
Minerva went to her first show as a weanling, the APSB All breeds Youngstock Show March 2009. She was awarded Champion ASH Foal. She was Supreme Champion ASH at Murray Bridge All Breeds Show 2010 and won the SA State Yearling Futurity 2010, with the highest led points of the day (all ages). She was Supreme Champion ASH at the Pinto Association Youngstock Show held in March 2010.
